Who we are

Ridgeway Research is part of the Ridgeway group. Established in 1985, the group develops and supports scientific, animal health and farming excellence.

Ridgeway Research is a global contract research organization (CRO). We offer a wide range of studies in livestock species including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, poultry and game birds. We’ve conducted over 150 studies; many of the top ten global animal health companies have been our clients.

We also provide clinical expert statements, veterinary project management and registration expertise through our affiliated company, Shernacre Enterprise Ltd. Our sister company, Ridgeway Science, provides product services relating to progesterone in animals.  We also work closely with Veterinary Research Management (VRM) Ltd, who offer bespoke veterinary project management.

Our premises include large, flexible animal housing, two laboratories, and a biosafety level 2 containment facility.

Our team

Our reputation for scientific excellence is due to our highly skilled and experienced research team headed by leading parasitologist Maggie Fisher.

The team includes SQPs (suitably qualified persons), PRINCE2-trained project managers and Home Office licence holders. We have also been successful in our applications for several research grants.
