About you:

This post would suit someone with cleaning experience, who is willing to operate in a busy but relaxed atmosphere where a keen eye for detail is essential.

Job Title: Office Cleaner.

Role:

  • Areas included:
  • Kitchen
  • Main Offices (Parasitology, Science, Finance, Research & printer room)
  • Portacabins (ACT & Admin)
  • Toilets x3
  • Meeting Room
  • Stairs
  • Tasks to be completed twice weekly:
  • Hoover / sweep all floors.
  • Mop tiled floors and dispose of dirty water appropriately.
  • Disinfect contact points – hand rails/ door handles / light switches / telephone handsets / computer key boards.
  • Replenish toilet roll, hand towels, soap dispensers, blue towel dispensers and alcohol gel dispensers.
  • Clean Toilets
  • Clean Kitchen
  • Empty bins & recycling.
  • Clean the area under the stairs.
  • Tasks to be completed as required.
  • Clean stairs.
  • Wipe down the skirting boards.
  • Clean the Fridge.
  • Clean the Microwave.
  • Remove Cobwebs.
  • Wipe down Cupboard doors.
  • All cleaning supplies & equipment will be provided, however you will need to let admin know if more supplies are required.
  • Make sure appropriate warning signs are used i.e. Wet Floor Signs.

Post Offered:

Part time fixed term contract, self employed. Ideally Tuesday & Thursday for 2 hours each day around 14:00 – 16:00. There is however some flexibility around both days and times.

Additional Information

Due to the rural location of our business and the lack of public transport, you are responsible to organise yourself (either by holding a valid driving licence and a vehicle to drive/ carpooling/ a lift) in order to get into work on time and leave work every day.

The candidate would need to be comfortable with the idea of farm animal research associated with improving animal health. Although the candidate would not be directly working with any animals the intimacy of the site entails that all employees work in close proximity to their accommodation.
